Police are investigating the theft of £500 worth of diesel from a tanker left parked overnight in Rudston.
A white tanker with jetting facilities was parked up overnight on Wednesday 4 September in the entrance to a field on Thwing Road.
Unknown people approached the vehicle and siphoned £500 worth of diesel from the tank, emptying the tank completely and damaging the cap.
A police spokeswoman said: “They also removed the water hydrant from the side of the tanker which was inside a locker and made off with it along with the fuel.”

Police are also looking for information relating to two unlinked burglaries.
Sometime between Thursday 29 August and Monday 2 September offenders approached wooden stables on farmland on Beverley Road near Beeford and opened the locked doors.
A red Honda petrol blower, grey and red Honda 476 petrol lawn mower, a light grey Ryobi petrol hedge trimmer and white and green plastic back pack style weed sprayer were stolen from inside. Between the morning of Sunday 1 September and 5pm on Tuesday 3 September a shed was broken into on Ramsden Close, Driffield.
The shed’s lock was broken in order for thieves to gain entry and a metal burner bin was stolen from within.
